Russia has threatened to cut electricity supply to Finland.
Despite Russia’s objection, it is analyzed that it is difficult to see the payment as a reason for payment since Finland officially joined NATO.
Tensions like never before are being created in Northern Europe, not Ukraine.

With the Russian invasion of Ukraine as an opportunity, Finland and Sweden in Northern Europe are rushing to join NATO, the Western military alliance.
On the 12th, Finland gave up its 74-year neutrality status and formalized NATO membership, and it is certain that Sweden will submit an application for membership on the 16th.
But Russia’s state-owned energy company announced on Friday that it would stop supplying electricity to Finland.
It is the reason that the electricity import price was not paid, and it is analyzed that it has nothing to do with the officialization of NATO membership.
Russia started a war in protest once morest Ukraine’s push to join NATO, but it was met with a ‘headwind’ as other neutral countries instead joined NATO.
NATO has promised expedited accession processing by the two countries, and the United States has also expressed support.
However, as NATO member Turkey has expressed a negative stance on the two countries’ accession, their attempts to join NATO are more likely to fail.
According to NATO regulations, membership in a new member state is only possible with the unanimous consent of the existing member states.
Russia’s next target, which has warned it will take military and technical measures if it joins NATO, is likely to be gas.
Russia has previously refuted reports of a possible cut off gas supply to Finland as fake news.
“Gazprom has shown many times that it is a reliable energy source for Europe. Perhaps this report is another newspaper hoax.”
Finland, which shares a 1,300km border with Russia, is more than 90% dependent on Russian gas.
Russia has already responded with ‘gas weaponization’ by closing the valves of natural gas pipelines once morest European sanctions.
