Russia fired dozens of missiles again at Ukraine

Six people were injured in the Russian attacks in Nikopol, more than 20 houses and several power lines were damaged, the Ukrainian side said. Nikopol is located opposite the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which was recently shelled several times – on the other bank of the Dnipro River, which was formed here into a reservoir.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops had repelled the advance of Ukrainian troops in some regions and in turn destroyed several ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army.

Russia continued its attacks once morest military targets and energy supply with “precision weapons”. Konashenkov spoke of significant losses for Ukraine. Battlefield reports cannot be independently verified.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently spoke of a “very difficult situation” in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. As in the days before, it was the most difficult for the city of Bachmut.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense published a video on Twitter that is supposed to show the situation near Bakhmut. The clip, which features a rugged landscape, is not footage of the Battle of Verdun but shows trenches of Ukrainian infantry that have been under heavy Russian fire for months, sources said.

The Ukrainian military also reported ongoing fighting in the Kherson region.

Ukrainian attacks

Meanwhile, Russian-led separatists in eastern Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian army had shelled the city of Donetsk. An administration building was severely damaged, Mayor Alexei Kulemsin said, according to the state news agency Tass.

The industrial city of Donetsk has been under the control of pro-Russian separatists since 2014. Moscow-backed forces on Sunday blamed the Ukrainian army for 40 attacks on targets in the Russian-recognized “Donetsk People’s Republic” within 24 hours. One civilian was killed and four others injured.

Ammo is running out

Meanwhile, according to British information, Russia is no longer able to keep up with the production of ammunition because of its approach to the war of aggression once morest Ukraine. “Russia’s defense industry is unlikely to be able to produce advanced munitions at the rate it is being used,” Britain’s Defense Ministry said in its Ukraine war intelligence update on Sunday.
More than 80 rocket attacks on several Ukrainian cities earlier in the week meant a further deterioration in Russia’s long-range missile inventory, the British said. This is likely to limit Russia’s ability to hit that number of targets once more in the future.

Around seven and a half months following the war began, Russia fired more than 80 rockets at Ukraine on Monday – including at the capital Kyiv. Around 20 people were killed and more than 100 injured. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Friday that attacks on missed targets would be “rescheduled”. At the same time, he emphasized that no further large-scale attacks are currently planned.
