Russia extended the expiration date of the Sputnik V vaccine

The Ministry of Health has extended the expiration date of the Sputnik V vaccine. This is reported RIA Novosti.

For different manufacturers, it ranges from six to twelve months. The department clarified that changes were made to the instructions for the medical use of the vaccine.

“Information regarding a shorter shelf life indicated on the packaging of a drug produced before the decision to renew it is not a sign that the drug is expired,” the press service of the Ministry of Health said.

After the development of COVID-19 vaccines, this practice has been repeatedly applied to EU and US drugs.
