The world’s largest strategic nuclear submarine (NPS) “Dmitry Donskoy” was withdrawn from the Russian Navy, it will be disposed of. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the military-industrial complex.

“The submarine “Dmitry Donskoy” has been decommissioned from the fleet. It is subject to disposal,” writes RIA Novosti.

The name “Dmitry Donskoy” has already been assigned another submarine, construction of which began in 2021. Also, newer nuclear submarines were put into operation – Knyaz Oleg of the Borey-A project and Novosibirsk of the Yasen-M project, writes RT.
