The United States must issue a visa to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov so that he can attend the UN General Assembly. This was announced on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov.
“The Russian Embassy in the United States appealed to the White House and the State Department with a demand to immediately issue visas to Lavrov and the entire delegation. This is necessary for a visit to the UN General Assembly,” Antonov said.
At the same time, a representative of the US Permanent Mission stated earlier that the country will not interfere Lavrov’s visit to the UN General Assembly. “The United States should assist the participants in the UN General Assembly upon their arrival,” the official said.
