Russia today declared a terrorist alert in the north of the peninsula of Crimea and in four other regions in the south of the country, three of them bordering Ukrainescene of a Russian military campaign since February 24.
The “yellow” level of alert came into force at 8:00 p.m. on Monday and will be in force for two weeks, according to local authorities.
In the case of the regions of Belgorod, Kursk Y Voronezhneighboring regions with Ukraine which have welcomed numerous refugees, the alert will affect the entire territory.
The Crimean leader, Sergei Axiónov, explained that the alert will apply to the north of the annexed peninsula ukrainianwhich borders the Ukrainian region of Kherson, controlled by the Russian Army.
During that time, the security forces and secret services will intensify their patrols, while the population is recommended to be “more cautious” and to report the slightest suspicion to the police.

The pro-Russian leader of Donetsk, Denis Pushilin, today announced the intensification of the “liberation operation” of the Donbáswhile confirming that his militias took the port of Mariupol on the Sea of Azov on Monday.
For his part, the Ukrainian president, Volodímir Zelenskiassured that his country is preparing for the enemy’s final offensive in the east of the country, for which he urged Western countries to supply weapons to kyiv as soon as possible.
