The Russian Defense announced today, Saturday, the appointment of General Sergei Sorovikin, as the commander of the Russian forces in the military operation in Ukraine.
On February 24, President Vladimir Putin ordered the launch of military operations in Ukraine, with the aim of liberating the Donbass region.
Since then, military operations between Russia and Ukraine have resulted in thousands of casualties on both sides, as well as a global food and energy crisis.
