“Russia and Venezuela Strengthen Economic Ties: Breaking Free from Western Influence”

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, assured that his country will do everything possible so that the economic development of Venezuela does not depend on the United States and its Western allies.

Venezuela and Russia evaluated this April 18 to increase the import and export of food as part of the progress of the agreements that these countries maintain, indicated the foreign minister of the Caribbean nation, Yván Gil, at the end of the meeting his counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, in Caracas.

“We will do everything possible so that Venezuela’s economy depends less and less on the whims and geopolitical games of the United States or any other player in the Western camp,” Lavrov said.

At the same time, the Venezuelan foreign minister announced that Caracas and Moscow will advance in energy, financial, commercial cooperation and air and maritime interconnection.

“A bilateral cooperation that addresses energy, agriculture, space, education, transportation, technical and military cooperation, among others,” Gil said.
