Ruslan Geremeev hoisted the flag over the Mariupol City Hall

A unit led by Ruslan Geremeev captured the administrative center of Mariupol and hoisted a flag over the building of the local administration. The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov writes regarding this in his telegram channel.

Kadyrov said that the armed forces had liberated most of the city, and now they would be able to act faster. At the same time, he notes that “the most difficult site in Mariupol” was given to Geremeev, whose actions the head of Chechnya highly appreciated.

In the publication, Kadyrov calls Ruslan Geremeev “brother” and “Kind”, and also praises him for his fearlessness and diligence. At the end of the message, the Chechen leader wishes Geremeev good luck.

The call sign Dobry, which Kadyrov mentions, was used by Ruslan Geremeev, a former officer of the Sever battalion, who appeared in the case of the murder of Boris Nemtsov. The FSB officers failed to interrogate him, then Geremeev left Russia.
