“We chose the piece in August and rehearsed it several times a week from the end of September,” says Annalena Schwaiger, who recently handed over the local group chairmanship to her sister Lisa.
In the play “Alles Bauerntheater” by Erich Koch, a hard-drinking and work-shy farmer tries to hook up with the new waitress at his local restaurant. But of course the farmer’s wife finds out and, together with a few friends, launches a counterattack. In addition to this framework, lively characters such as the misogynistic pastor’s cook and the farmer’s widowed and poetic friend ensure laughter.

The Berndorf rural youth wants to maintain the annual rhythm of performances. “Our grandpas and grandmas have already played theater, and we want to continue that. We certainly won’t have a problem in the next few years, there are a lot of motivated members,” emphasizes Schwaiger.

Visitors can expect a thriller in three acts.
Because of the great success last year, the rural youth even decided to add an additional performance this year. “We were always completely sold out. So that it’s not always so full, we play once more often,” says Schwaiger.
Eight performances
