RUNNING is increasingly popular among the people of the capital city. Jakarta Salonpas Sport 10K run will also be back to accommodate the interests of running sports lovers. This annual event will be held on November 3, 2024 at Plaza Gajah Mada, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).
The 10k marathon is becoming more inclusive with the addition of new categories for students, namely 10K and 5K, as well as the ByeBye-FEVER Kids Dash category with a distance of 400 meters for children aged 6-7 years and 800 meters for ages 8-10 years.
President Director of PT Hisamitsu Pharma Indonesia, Sakurai Fusayoshi expressed his pride in being able to hold the event offline again.
“We are very proud to be able to hold the Salonpas Sport 10K Run live again. With this event, we want to provide space for people to actively exercise without worrying about injury, thanks to the Salonpas Let’s Move product,” said Sakurai when met at a press conference in Jakarta, Sunday (11/8).
This year, Salonpas Sport 10K Run 2024 will compete in several categories, including 10K National, 10K Master 40+, 10K Student, 5K National, 5K Master 40+, 5K Student, and ByeBye-FEVER Kids Dash. The total prize up for grabs is 150 million rupiah.
Senior Product Manager Salonpas Let’s Move, Desy Setiarini explained several differences in this year’s Salonpas Sport 10K Run compared to previous ones.

“This year, we are targeting the participation of around 2,000 runners from various categories. We are very happy to be able to add a new category specifically for students and children, with the hope that they can be more active, hone their competitive skills, and find young talents in the world of athletics,” he explained.
TMII was again chosen as the race location because it offers a flat and safe route from motor vehicles. This is expected to provide an optimal running experience for participants, especially for the children’s category.
“This flat and sterile track is important, especially for the ByeBye-FEVER Kids Dash category, so that parents feel calm and can enjoy this activity as a fun family activity,” added Desy.

Wahyu Adiputra from Race Management also revealed that what was different this year was the route that was made to enter the existing platforms.
“So the participants can run while enjoying the scenery around the platform. Also, the almost flat route is very suitable for runners who intend to break their PB,” said Wahyu.
Safety is also a top priority for the organizers, who are working with marshals, security guards, and additional medical personnel at various points on the track. In addition, this year’s Salonpas Sport 10K Run “Road to” program includes free strength training and muscle checks by physiotherapists at The Lounge.
“We hope this can be an event that is awaited and gives a positive impression to the runners,” concluded Desy.
Registration for the Salonpas Sport 10K Run 2024 will open from August 11, 2024, with fees ranging from IDR 120,000 to IDR 300,000. Each participant will receive protection from sports accidents from October 20 to November 18, 2024 through a collaboration with 20Fit Sport Protection. (Z-8)
