The runners were heat-tested. In the land of volcanoes, the peloton had a hot day this Tuesday, July 11. 167 kilometers under a scorching sun, the thermometer sometimes showed more than 40 degrees. They took out the coolers and the foggers. “We planned three liters of water, but we didn’t think it was going to be so hot”, notes a viewer.
