Rumporanna detailed planning public discussion (Rumpo village, Vorms municipality)
public meeting on 29.11.2024 starting at 19:15 at Hullo training center.
The Vormsi Municipal Government announces that during the preparation of the detailed plan of Rumporanna, the need has arisen to update the explanation letter and organize an additional public meeting, as six years have passed since the last public discussion.
On 25.09.2017, the Vorms Municipal Council adopted the detailed plan of Rumporanna, which amends the general plan initiated on 27.02.2012, by decision No. 14, at cadastral unit 90701:002:0335 in the village of Rumpo on an area of 8.6 ha. With the detailed planning, the building right and building conditions for the construction of 2 net sheds and a dry toilet have been resolved, parking lots for 6 and 4 cars and a turning area and 2 parking spaces for a bus have been planned. It is planned to clean the boat channels, the boathouse and the harbor hole from sediments. A proper fire fighting water intake point and a slip for launching boats into the sea will be established.
In its letter of 29.01.2018 No. 7-13/17/12707-5, the Environmental Board has given consent to reduce the construction ban zone according to the prepared detailed plan. In addition, consent to reduce the construction ban zone has been requested by letter No. 7-1/747/2023 of 29.11.2023. The Environmental Board confirmed the validity of the consent on 29.12.2023 with letter No. 6-2/23/24071-2.
The planning documents can be consulted at the Vormsi municipality administration and on the Vormsi municipality website from 15.11.2024

**Interview with Anna Kask, Project Coordinator for Rumporanna Detailed Planning**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Anna. The upcoming public meeting on November 29, 2024, has generated some interest in the community. Can you tell us why this meeting is being held at this time?
**Anna Kask:** Thank you for having me. It’s essential for us to engage with the community, especially since it has been six years since our last public discussion about the Rumporanna detailed plan. We’ve realized that as the context around our project evolves, so too must our understanding and communication with residents.
**Editor:** Would you mind giving us a brief overview of what the Rumporanna detailed plan entails?
**Anna Kask:** Certainly. The detailed plan facilitates the construction of facilities like net sheds and a dry toilet on an 8.6-hectare area in Rumpo village. It also includes essential infrastructure improvements like parking spaces, boat channel cleaning, a boathouse, and a proposed fire-fighting water intake point. Our goal is to enhance both accessibility and safety for residents and visitors.
**Editor:** The Environmental Board’s consent has been mentioned in your materials. How does that impact the planned developments?
**Anna Kask:** The Environmental Board’s consents have been crucial. They’ve allowed us to reduce the construction ban zone, which has provided us with more flexibility in our planning. This means we can proceed with our projects while ensuring that environmental considerations are respected.
**Editor:** How can residents access the planning documents, and how are they encouraged to provide feedback?
**Anna Kask:** Planning documents will be available for public consultation at the Vormsi municipality administration and on our official website starting November 15, 2024. We encourage residents to review these documents and share their opinions or suggestions via email at [email protected]. Their feedback is invaluable in shaping a plan that reflects the community’s needs and desires.
**Editor:** Thank you, Anna, for this insightful update. It sounds like an exciting time for the Rumpo village, and we look forward to hearing more from the community ahead of the public meeting.
**Anna Kask:** Thank you! I hope to see many residents at the meeting so we can work together on this important project.
