The president of the transition took part this Saturday, June 3, 2023, in the investiture of the Turkish president, Erdogan. Many believe that Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya will return to the country with former President Alpha Condé, whom he ousted on September 5.

Taking advantage of this assembly, Lansana Komara transmitted the message of the former president to his militants. “Professor Alpha Condé asks me to tell you to stay calm. Some media have started to speculate saying: he (Mamadi Doumbouya editor’s note) went to get him… These people forget that Alpha Condé is free because the press release was signed in front of everyone here that he is free of these movements he can go where he wants, he can go for treatment in the country he wants. He chose Turkey to go for treatment. So keep quiet on that side. We ask you, dear activists, to remain calm.
Moreover, Mr. Komara reminds that Guinea is a State, therefore it is normal that the country is invited to the investiture of the Turkish President like all the countries of the world.
“If Guinea was not invited but we were going to ask ourselves questions. Now the representation of a Head of State or a Minister of Foreign Affairs, it depends, and that is what happened. Listen ! We have to be realistic, President Mamadi Doumbouya has left to represent Guinea, dear activists, stay calm and continue your fight for the rapid return to constitutional order”.
