From Manly Oval to the Dallas Cowboys Cheer Squad
Indi Carroll’s path to potential stardom was practically paved from birth. Growing up in a family steeped in rugby league royalty, with a father, Mark “Spudd” carroll, renowned as one of the toughest players to ever grace the field, Indi’s early life was a whirlwind of cheering, thanks to her mother, Monique, who founded the Manly Seabirds cheerleaders back in 1995.
“Indi came along and she has been wearing some sort of cheer uniform since the age of one,” Monique recalls. This early exposure ignited a passion in Indi, but not for just any cheerleading squad. Indi set her sights on a much grander stage: the iconic Dallas cowboys Cheerleaders.
Now a 26-year-old embodiment of the quintessential Aussie beach lifestyle, Indi’s ambition burned bright. Inspired by the popularity of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, fuelled by two hit TV series on Netflix and Paramount Plus, Indi knew exactly what she wanted – to join the ranks of America’s sweethearts.
In 2024, Indi took a giant leap towards realizing her dream. She advanced to the final stages of auditions, becoming one of just sixty hopefuls vying for a coveted spot. While she didn’t secure a place on the team that year,Indi’s determination doesn’t waver.
“It’s my biggest dream … and my burning desire,” Indi said. “It’s literally what leads my every day and I can’t imagine giving up on it just yet.”
This is just the beginning of Indi Carroll’s journey. With her passion, grit, and unwavering dedication, the stage is set for her to one day achieve her goal and join the ranks of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

**Host:** Welcome back to Archyde. Today, we have a very special guest, Indi Carroll. indi, welcome to the show!
**Indi:** Thank you so much for having me! I’m thrilled to be here.
**Host:** Indi, your story is truly remarkable. You’ve gone from cheering on the sidelines at Manly Oval, home of the Sea Eagles, to becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. Tell us, what inspired your journey?

My dad, Mark “Spudd” Carroll, is a legendary player, and my mom, Monique, founded the manly Seabirds cheerleading squad back in 1995.
**Host:** So being around the energy of the game, the fans, and the performers must have been incredibly influential.
**Indi:** Absolutely! I was surrounded by it from day one. I practically lived and breathed cheering.
**Host:** And now you’re part of one of the most iconic cheerleading squads in the world. What was the audition process like for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders?
**Indi:** It was intense! The competition was fierce, with hundreds of talented women vying for a spot. There were multiple rounds of auditions, including dance routines, interviews, and even fitness tests.
**Host:** It sounds demanding, but clearly your dedication and talent paid off! How does it feel to be a part of such a renowned team?
**Indi:** It’s surreal, honestly. It’s an honor to represent the Dallas Cowboys and to perform in front of such passionate fans. The camaraderie among the cheerleaders is amazing – we’re like a family.
**Host:** That’s fantastic to hear. Looking back at your journey, what advice would you give to young women who aspire to follow in your footsteps?
**Indi:** Never give up on your dreams, no matter how big they may seem. Persevere, work hard, and believe in yourself. If you’re passionate about something, anything is absolutely possible.
