Zee Five and Zee Zindagi’s latest offering “Barzakh” is currently facing controversies due to its queer themes, and viewers are not liking it due to the queer themes of the story. They are demanding to band the series.

Along with viewers, showbiz personalities have also criticized Barzakh. However, some artists have risen to speak out in his defense.

Recently, he appeared as a guest on a morning show, in which he tried to defend the play by giving several examples from other shows.

Rubina said that what is happening in our society, our films and dramas reflect it, dramas do not make the society, but they raise issues from the society. We have produced plays on many topics that are considered taboo. Because all this is happening, we are not teaching but telling.

He added that we have also produced dramas like Mai Re in this country. Dramas show the reality of society and not the other way around. Thus, Barzakh is also a drama that shows a reality. People should save their homes and their children.
