Lewis was expected to resign at a federation meeting on Friday, but that did not happen. Lewis instead tried to defend his actions. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) later issued a statement for him. Lewis will legally defend himself to prove his “absolute innocence,” the statement said.
Hermoso claims that Luis kissed her without her permission.
