Nvidia’s new flagship RTX 3090 Ti is rumored to be released at the end of the month, and judging by the new information, the graphics card will cost much more than it might seem. One Twitter user found that a retailer listed the RTX 3090 Ti at $4,000.
We are talking regarding an unnamed Canadian retailer that is asking for “only” 4,649.19 Canadian dollars (regarding $3680 USD) for the ASUS GF TUF Strix RTX 3090 Ti 24 GB and for $5239.93 CAD ($4,143 USD) for the ASUS ROG STRIX LC RTX 3090 Ti 24 GB. In the second case, the price is higher, since the video card can be equipped with a water cooling system. But even without it, more than $3,600 for a graphics card sounds too absurd. Especially since the RTX 3090 has a MSRP of $1,200 right now, although retailers can charge over $2,000.
The RTX 3090 Ti should be a performance monster with 10752 CUDA cores and 24 GB of RAM, while the memory speed will be 21 Gb / s, which is 1.5 Gb / s faster than the RTX 3090. If the specs are correct, then the 3090 Ti will become the most powerful graphics card available today.
True, whether the performance will justify the price twice as high – we will learn from the first independent tests.
