RTL Today – At the pump: Another increase, diesel is approaching €2

The prices of all fuels sold in Luxembourg are increasing this Saturday. Here’s what you need to know.

And three! This Saturday at midnight, the prices of fuels sold in Luxembourg will know their 3rd increase of the week.

With, by the way, a growing gap between the price of diesel and gasoline. Already worn at 16 cents on Thursday, the difference will be 19 cents in favor of the SP 95. We are slowly approaching the difference of 22 cents observed at the record price set on March 10.

From midnight tonight, the price of the different fuels will be as follows:

  • €1.945 for diesel (+5.6 cents)
  • €1,754 for the SP 95 (+2.7 cents)
  • €1,865 for the SP 98 (+3.9 cents)

On a full 50 liters, these new prices bring the bill to €97.25 for diesel, once morest “only” €87.70 for the SP 95.

With price increases per liter of between 6.7 cents (SP 95) and 18.4 cents (diesel) this week, the additional cost greatly exceeds the discount of 7.5 cents offered by the government during the tripartite. A boost deemed insufficient by the ACL, which had proposed revalue fixed travel expenses already allocated to workers.

Natural gas is also affected and increases by 4 cents (€1.362 per kg), while heating oil follows suit:

  • €1.352 for the liter of fuel 50 ppm
  • 1,363€ for fuel oil 10 ppm
