Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated a tweet by the Saudi prince, Abdul Rahman bin Musaed, on the hashtag “officially Benzema Federal”, which sparked interaction.
The Saudi prince commented in a tweet in response to the reason for deleting the tweet on the aforementioned hashtag, saying: “I entered the hashtag, may God bless you, and I put a tweet by mistake, so I deleted it.”
Ahmed Kaaki, vice-chairman of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad Jeddah, had raised speculation regarding Karim Benzema, the striker of Real Madrid, with the “Tigers” team.
And press reports had claimed that the 35-year-old French striker was within the circle of interests of Al-Ittihad Club in Jeddah, without official confirmation from any party.
In an interview with the “Sada Al Malaeb” program on MBC, the correspondent said: “They say you have Benzema,” to which Ahmed Kaaki replied: “We say, God willing.”
