The Royal Family added another week of mourning in which King Charles III. and his children and grandchildren had more peace and time for private mourning. Charles, who is currently still in Scotland, only spoke to the new finance minister, Kwasi Kwarteng, on Thursday before he presented his controversial budget plans on Friday. The Queen died on September 8th at the age of 96.
With the return of everyday life, a new era begins for the royal family. Now not only Charles is at the head of the monarchy, William and Kate (both 40) also have new roles.
As the Prince and Princess of Wales, the two made their way to western Britain on Tuesday. They wanted to visit Wales “as soon as possible” and deepen their trusting relationship with the Welsh people, the couple announced following King Charles bestowed their new titles on them. Most recently, William and Kate were in Wales around the Queen’s 70th anniversary, which was celebrated in June.
