Kolkata: Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a dramatic one-run defeat in the last over of the IPL. After losing the toss, Kolkata scored 222 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated over. Chasing the target, Bengaluru fell short by a run. Score RCB 221 for 10 in 20 overs. With this, RCB left the field with their seventh defeat of the season. Kolkata secured their fifth win of the season.

Despite three sixes in the final over, Royal Challengers Bangalore could not win. RCB’s top scorer was Will Jacks who scored 55 runs off 32 balls. Rajat Patidar scored 52 runs off 23 balls. Virat Kohli (18) and captain Du Plessis (7) disappointed. Kohli was dismissed on the first ball of the third over of the match. Harshit Rana caught the bowler himself and dismissed Kohli. But Kohli immediately arrived at the scene claiming that the ball was coming above the waist and it was a no ball. After that, an assessment was carried out, but to no avail. Then Kohli left the field with the umpire on the rope.
