Beautiful story of mutual aid that does good in this energy crisis. A photovoltaic panel company in the Marche-en-Famenne region has decided to help a self-employed worker in difficulty. A brewery that can no longer pay its energy bills. She will install signs for him free of charge to help him get out of it.
Voltaic panel installation sites are multiplying. Most of the time, the installation is paid. But not always…Nicolas, an installer from Marche-en-Famenne, decided to make an exception. Soon, he will put up panels on the roofs of a brewery for free. Nicolas Depature, let it be known: “These are people I know, that I have worked with. I have also seen their difficulty in moving forward with their project. Here, with energy costs, they still have to close their doors.”
Here is the project:
24 photovoltaic panels worth 15,000 euros. The sector is booming. The order book is full for several months, particularly due to energy prices. Company officials have decided to help an independent who, on the contrary, is overwhelmed by the cost of electricity.
Camille Dieudonné, executive assistant of the photovoltaic panel installation company, explains: “We had quite positive responses from suppliers who were enthusiastic regarding the idea and who want to be able to help us make this project a reality as well.Nicholas adds: “This morning I spoke with my inverter supplier who offered to offer the inverter for the restaurant.”
It’s a thorn out of the way
High energy bills have a direct impact on Roxanne’s brewery. It no longer opens on weekdays, only on weekends. Her husband had to resume work as a truck driver to make ends meet. The installation of the panels will reduce costs and the restaurant will be able to reopen on weekdays. From 1050 euros, I will drop to 250 euros per month for electricity. “It’s a thorn out of the foot, it’s even a drill out of the foot!”, quips Roxanne. “You can’t imagine the electricity bill here in the hospitality industry.”
Nicolas says he may be able to help another freelancer. Above all, he hopes that his initiative will be imitated by colleagues in the same sector.
