Rowing Raid will unite Concepción with Asunción

Assumption.- The National Secretariat of Tourism declared the activity called “RAID 300K de Remo Máster Concepción-Asunción” (Master Rowing RAID Concepción-Asunción) of national tourist interest through resolution 65/15, an unprecedented sporting challenge that will take place on February 28 and March 1. The challenge aims to reach the mark of 300 kilometers traveled uninterruptedly by rowing along the Paraguay River.

The organization is in charge of the National Regatta Club “El Mbigua”, which aims to be the first to hold a long-distance regatta at a continental level, since until now there is no competition of this kind in the region.

“This activity will serve to show all the beauty of a river that divides us as a country, but unites us as a means,” said the organizers.

SENATUR understands that these types of activities have become widely disseminated in our country in recent years, achieving success in actions of this nature, which in turn help to stimulate knowledge of the country and its tourist attractions. So much so that they become a tool to promote, disseminate and develop our tourism at a national and international level.

For more information regarding the sporting activity, contact Mr. Victor Servin, president of the Rowing Department of the Club “El Mbigua”, at 0971 502 867 or by email
