Rostov NPP – Yusov told whether the State Government monitors the situation in Russia

What preceded

On July 19, the mass media and social networks began to spread information that there was a radiation release in Russia after the accident at the Rostov NPP. However, there is no official confirmation of this.

In particular, Russian Telegram channels claim that the emergency release of radioactive water was allegedly not localized at the Rostov NPP. Because of this, “there is a constant leakage of radiation.” The authorities of the Rostov region declare that the NPP is working normally, and all reports of breakdowns and leaks are fakes

The Kremlin also denies the fact of a breakdown at the nuclear power plant. At the same time, electricity blackout schedules were introduced in the southern regions of the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The reaction of the power steering

According to Yusov, the information that spreads in Russian social networks is closely monitored. However, all data needs to be carefully checked.

“Of course, all Ukrainians and you and I are eagerly waiting for the good news that there will still be chambers on the territory of the Russian Federation. But we are checking and monitoring. Well, it is clear that the information that is spreading from the Russian public – we need to be very careful about it and divide into several orders of magnitude,” Yusov said.

He reminded that Russia is a closed country and data on man-made problems are often kept silent there. As an example, he mentioned Chernobyl and the silence of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

“We cannot rule out problems of this order and say completely today that “this is not the case” – there is no reason for this. We must check. The fact that Putin’s regime can hide the truth from its own citizens, from the international community about some serious problems in the energy sector – yes, maybe. This is the nature of dictatorship, but we will find out the truth anyway,” Yusov emphasized.

We will remind you that earlier RBC-Ukraine wrote about the failure of the Rostov nuclear power plant in Russia. This led to power outages in a number of Russian settlements, as well as on the occupied Crimean peninsula.
