The head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzaev, said that in the next 10 years the USE is unlikely to undergo major changes, but this form of assessment might be expanded to include information regarding school graduates. He said this during a hotline regarding the state final certification in 2023.
“So far, I do not see the prospect that the form as an exam will be changed in the next 10 years for sure. But it will expand due to the fact that we will have more information regarding school students, future graduates and applicants, ”Mr. Muzaev specified (quoted by TASS).
In June 2022, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Valery Falkov, announced that Russia would move from the standards of the Bologna process, from which all Russian universities were excluded, to the domestic education system. Rosobrnadzor promised to keep the Unified State Examination, and Anzor Muzaev advocated a phased abandonment of the Bologna system. He allowed the abolition of the Unified State Examination if there was an alternative, but he considered such an idea populist.
