Rose Monday Parades in Mainz, Koblenz, and Trier 2024: A Celebration of Tradition and Revelry

The Rose Monday parades reached their destination peacefully in Mainz, Koblenz and Trier. Hundreds of thousands stood on the side of the road in a good mood – and are now continuing to celebrate on the streets.

More than 500,000 people came to the traditional Rose Monday procession in Mainz. The motto for 2024: “On Carnival Night, Mainz am Rhein invites the whole world to drink!”

So far, Rose Monday in Mainz has been peaceful. According to a spokesman for the fire department and civil protection, no one was seriously injured until the followingnoon. Around 30 patients had been treated by then – most of them had injured themselves through alcohol or falls.

200 years of Kowelenz Olau

The carnival at Deutsches Eck in Koblenz in 2024 is all regarding the anniversary of the tradition of the Kowelenz Faasenacht. The motto is: “200 years of Kowelenz Olau”.

In Koblenz, 39 floats, 85 foot groups and 14 bands marched through the city center. The start in Koblenz was at 12:11 p.m.
