Former England star Wayne Rooney once more criticized his former teammate at Manchester United and the current star of the team, Cristiano Ronaldo, in addition to the star Marcus Rashford.
Rooney said in an article in the newspaper:The TimesBritish: “If I were in Ten Hag’s place, I would not have agreed that Cristiano Ronaldo, not even Marcus Rashford, would play.”
He added, “It seems that he (Ronaldo) needs time to be ready to play. He said a while ago that he wanted to leave the team. I don’t know what his reasons are, but as I wrote in the previous article, I would agree to leave.”
Rooney explained, “Ronaldo is a great player and still scores goals, but Ten Hag’s mission is to establish a team to compete for the English Premier League title following 3 or 4 years.”
It is noteworthy that press reports had talked a while ago regarding Ronaldo’s desire to leave Manchester United this summer so that he might play in the Champions League, as United did not qualify for the tournament.
