You have certainly met him on the networks. Reda Ouahbi, aka Rookicks left the cameras for a few days to launch its Rookicks Summer Camp this summer, a mixed and inclusive basketball camp dedicated to its community which brought together 60 young people from France, Belgium, Switzerland, and even Canada. A great initiative in the world of the orange ball? We validate, of course.
Between two tests and an unboxing.
Between three pairs of push-ups and four moves to follow NBA athletes.
Réda is a face that you have probably seen on your phone, whether via Insta, TikTok or Minitel.
It must be said that with its quality content dedicated to the world of the pump, there are few people who have settled into such a niche in France as well. As soon as a new major pair falls? Ottoman, you’ll probably see him testing the beast on the field, facing the camera, smirking. On the networks for over five years now, Rookicks continued to send their content on a regular basis but there was talk of making it big. Bigger.
But really even bigger.
A Rookicks Summer Camp, that’s what Reda did.
Bringing together 60 young people from all over the French-speaking world at the CREPS des Hauts-de-France, near Lille, this summer camp had the main objective of allowing all interested young people to be able to register, and above all in a logic of inclusion of all social backgrounds. The taste for doing well, always with a smile. A year of work spent working on the project, the obvious support of Camino TV to continue to promote young people full of ambition and talent, you mix it all with the beauty of Lille and you have this kind of great result. How not to have a smile, like Reda?
During the camp week, the young people present on site were able to work on their game, in particular thanks to the presence of 4D Elite, an association which has been working in the organization of high-level basketball camps for 3 years. A whole team of coaches has therefore supervised the young people of the camp, via a program which offers 2 basketball training sessions per day, in addition to fun activities, always in an atmosphere of sharing, benevolence and progress. Terms that are dear to Reda, and have been for a long time.
The brothers of Camino, too, have been in this line and for a long time: they have notably allowed 10 young people to be able to participate in this camp for free.
Of course, some distinguished guests were welcome to punctuate the party with the young people: Lahaou Konaté from the Metropolitans 92, and Ivan Juillet from Portel. Always important to work well but also to be inspired by professional players who know the way to go to reach their level. Who knows, maybe from this camp (and from these future camps) will come the future crack or the future crack who will represent France in basketball all over the world?
One thing is certain: at the age of 27, Réda succeeded in going beyond the framework of the small rectangular screen to realize several dreams. Meet NBA stars, share his passion, and allow young people to ride his wave of motivation to have a great summer 2023.
Since we are in the same delirium, we can only applaud and validate the initiative and the project.
Hats off sir!
