Episode 2 of the new Liège season takes place on Sunday, in Genk (1:30 p.m.). With one objective: to maintain the momentum initiated by the division once morest Ghent, collected ten once morest eleven, at the opening of the championship. “We will try to start the match with the same approach as last week, even if we know that we may have to think a little more defensively, a little more balanced at the start of the game”explains Ronny Deila. “But we are not going to change our principles.”
Impressed by the Limburgers’ first half once morest Club Brugge, the Rouches coach knows he is facing a big challenge. “A second in two weeks”he says. “We will have to leave less space than the people of Bruges in Genk and develop our game.”
To do this, Deila can count on the returns from injury of Bokadi, Tapsoba and Dewaele. If the first two are still a bit short, the third should start at right-back. At left-back, the suspension of Alexandro Calut will allow newcomer Jacob Barrett Laursen to make his debut. “He is ready”does not hide the Liège T1. “He showed great things in training, he’s a great pro and a good guy. He comes out of two years playing in the Bundesliga and he played once more with Bielefeld not long ago.”
On the other hand, the Rouches coach will most likely not be able to count on Nathan Ngoy. “He has a little problem with his hamstrings. He is uncertain for Sunday but should be back next week”, term Share.
