It seems that Cristiano Ronaldo (37, photo) is imminent to enter the Saudi Arabia League.

Spanish media Marca said, “Ronaldo joins hands with Al Nasr of the Saudi Arabia League until 2030. Details of the contract will be announced soon,” he said on the 23rd. According to the contract between Ronaldo and Al Nasr, which Marca delivered, Ronaldo will play for this team until 2025, when he turns 40. After that, he decided to act as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia’s World Cup bid for five years until 2030. Saudi Arabia is pushing to host the 2030 World Cup.

It is said that the total amount of money Ronaldo agreed to receive over 8 years through the contract with Al Nasr amounts to 1 billion pounds (approximately 1.54 trillion won). He will receive an annual salary of 175 million yen (regarding 270 billion won) while playing as a player until the summer of 2025. The British media ‘Mirror’ said, “Ronaldo signs a 1 billion pound contract with Al Nasr. He earns more money as a public relations ambassador (following his retirement) than he earns while playing as a player.”

Even in August, when the English Premier League (EPL) started this season, Ronaldo was a member of Manchester United. Then, before Ronaldo’s World Cup in Qatar, when he gave a press interview criticizing Manchester United coach Eric Tenhagh and his fellow players, the relationship with the club began to crack, and Manchester United eventually chose to break up with Ronaldo. Ronaldo played World Cup matches without his team.
