‘Ronaldo made his teammates at Al Nassr do nothing’

(PLO)- Al Nassr star Abdullah Madu has explained how the arrival of superstar striker Cristiano Ronaldo has raised the bar at the Saudi Pro League club.

Al Nassr won the Portuguese icon’s signature on a free transfer in December, handing him a two-and-a-half year contract. The Bay Area team made him the highest paid player in the world to lure him to Mrsool Park.

Despite the huge financial expenditure, Ronaldo’s signing is considered a big change for Al Nassr, as well as the entire Arab football world. Al Shabab boss Vicente Moreno recently pointed out how the striker’s presence has brought the Pro League into the spotlight.

In addition to the growing interest in the tournament, the arrival of the 38-year-old has also improved the thinking and playing of players in Saudi Arabia, especially those of the rich guy Al Nassr. Striker Madu explained how the players benefited from the Portuguese superstar’s presence.

The midfielder said that Ronaldo’s passion has motivated other players to strive more. He also emphasized that Al-Nassr stars need to make the most of their opportunities. He told Arab TV channel SSC: “A superstar like Cristiano Ronaldo is always inspiring. We are benefiting from him as much as we can.

Ronaldo’s presence makes us want to work harder. He makes us feel like we can’t do anything, and everyone can see that Ronaldo has an extremely strong passion for football. He even changed the living and eating habits of the whole team.”

Madu went on to explain that Ronaldo is inspiring his teammates both on and off the pitch: “We learn from Cristiano Ronaldo both in the nutrition system and everything on and off the pitch, because he’s a big star. I even wish to live with him.”

Madu was notably the captain of Al Nassr before Ronaldo joined the club in December. But he was unafraid to hand the captain’s armband to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner when CR7 landed.

Cristiano Ronaldo has had a rough start in Saudi Arabia, with his Al Nassr debut delayed by a two-match suspension. After that, Ronaldo went two games without scoring and saw the team knocked out of the Saudi Arabia Super Cup.

However, the former Real Madrid superstar has been in excellent form for Al Nassr. He has scored eight goals in their last four matches and has also provided two assists, making him the top scorer in the Saudi national championship. Despite only making his club debut last month, Ronaldo has already entered the race for the Golden Shoe when he is fourth in the standings and is only five goals behind top scorer and teammate Al Nassr Talisca.
