Vicente Moreno, youth coach, believes that the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo’s accession to Al-Nasr drew the world’s attention to the Saudi League, stressing that he is not thinking of achieving his first championship in his career as a coach now.

Moreno led Al-Shabab to qualify for the quarter-finals in the AFC Champions League, where he will face Al-Duhail, Qatar, in order to reach the four-round of the continental championship.

Moreno said to the “In the Goal” program: The Saudi League is strong and includes distinguished players such as Ever Banega and Cristiano Ronaldo, and I believe that Saudi clubs will sign more international players. And he added: The presence of Ronaldo drew the attention of the world to the competition.

And he continued: I am participating for the first time in the Asian Championship, as well as in a continental competition, and if I win the championship, it will be the first in my career, but I am currently only thinking regarding the Al-Duhail match in the quarter-finals.

Regarding the remarkable levels of youth during the current season, the former Espanyol coach replied: Youth compete for all championships, and this season there is no secret or specific mixture that led to the development of the team’s level. We have players who have the desire and ambition, which made the team compete with victory, Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal.
