Romanowski Without Immunity. Time for a New Conservative Party

For the PiS splitters, paradoxically, this is a very good moment. Who will take advantage of it? Beata Szydło or Marcin Mastalerek?

On Friday, July 12, the Sejm stripped Marcin Romanowski of his immunity – it voted for it eleven times, because that was how many prosecutorial charges there were. One of them concerns participation in an organized criminal group. And Romanowski was the secretary of state in the Ministry of Justice during the PiS government.

In one vote, the Sejm also stripped Mariusz Błaszczak of his immunity. On a private claim, at the request of the attorney for the former operational commander of the Armed Forces Branches, General Tomasz Piotrowski. The general accuses the former head of the Ministry of National Defense of public insult, and the case concerns the memorable missile discovered near Bydgoszcz, the presence of which over Poland was concealed by politicians. Mariusz Błaszczak wanted to blame Piotrowski for this.

An organized crime group in the ministry is proof that we were ruled by a mafia system. The trial may be the end of not only Sovereign Poland, but also PiS. The removal of immunity from Kaczyński’s trusted politician is another blow to him, following an unsuccessful battle for influence in the Małopolska regional assembly.

That is why it is really high time for someone to create a new party of show-offs: around Beata Szydło, Ardanowski, Duda with Mastalerek, who recently said regarding Mariusz Błaszczak that the last words with sense he uttered were those written to him in 2015 by Mastelerek himself – the then PiS spokesman. It doesn’t matter who builds the raft – it’s time for those who can to save themselves.

The second argument for establishing a new party of the PiS party is the disintegration of the Coalition on October 15. Just before the immunities of both MPs, former PiS ministers, were stripped, the Sejm rejected the amendment decriminalizing abortion, which had been announced in committee for half a year. The amendment was supposed to be a compromise, a nod to conservatives, a testament not only to respect for the voters who removed PiS from power, but also to the unity of the coalition.

There is no coalition. PSL voted with PiS and Confederation. The Third Way probably does not exist either. There have been sparks between the coalition partners for a long time, but the breakthrough seems to be human rights issues, which are important for the MPs of Poland 2050, as shown by the debate on the amendment decriminalizing the unlawful use of weapons on the border, the vote on abortion, where 30 MPs from Poland 2050 voted for decriminalization, and 24 from PSL were once morest) and the attitude towards civil partnerships – PSL is adamant on the issue of adopting children in same-sex families.

As you can see, PSL boarded Poland 2050, made it to the Sejm and is now clearly becoming independent.

Donald Tusk announced that they would be suspended from the parliamentary club and stripped of their functions because it was not an ordinary vote. Well, it wasn’t – it’s a test that the Coalition failed on October 15.

The disintegration of the Third Way and the October 15 Coalition is a good time for a reshuffle. Perhaps the progressive MPs of Poland 2050 will join the Civic Coalition or even the Left – which would be very useful for the latter.

And the unmasked PSL can boldly accept the remnants of the show-offs, and then form a coalition with the conservative party of Beata Szydło or Mastalerek. We have to hurry, because with the disintegration of the Coalition on October 15, the chance of filling the presidential seat with a PSL-PiS candidate increases.

Bravo, democrats! It was worth it. It was really worth playing anti-PiS and conservative, weakening the Left and thus the entire coalition.
