Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is also called the King of Romance. But they themselves don’t like love stories. Filmmaker Nikhil Advani revealed an interesting fact about Shah Rukh in one of his interviews.
Shah Rukh Khan has done many romantic films in Bollywood and when they romance on screen, the success of the film is guaranteed. Fans adore his romantic style. But you will be surprised to know that they don’t like love stories themselves. Filmmaker Nikhil Advani recently shared interesting stories about Shahrukh Khan in an interview.
Why did Gauri Khan agree to marry Shah Rukh Khan at a young age?
Nikhil Advani has worked with Shah Rukh on the sets of films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein’ and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’. In an exclusive conversation, Nikhil said that Shah Rukh Khan and I often used to talk about the fact that Karan only makes love stories. Now we must do something different. Shah Rukh does not like love stories. His favorite film is Dil Se, in which he wore a bandage on his head.
Nikhil further said that when Karan and Aadi would talk to him about the plan to sing a new song and shoot in Switzerland or elsewhere, he would say that the film is good.
Talking about Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, the filmmaker said that we told Shahrukh that his first entry in the film will be on a helicopter. He thought he would jump out of a helicopter. But when he gets off the helicopter in the film, Shah Rukh was very disappointed to see this scene.

**Interview with Filmmaker Nikhil Advani on Shah Rukh Khan’s Relationship with Romance**
**Interviewer:** Nikhil, you’ve worked closely with Shah Rukh Khan on some of Bollywood’s biggest romantic films. Can you tell us more about his views on love stories, especially given his title as the ‘King of Romance’?
**Nikhil Advani:** Absolutely. It might come as a surprise to many, but Shah Rukh has often expressed to me that he doesn’t particularly enjoy love stories. He’s aware that Karan Johar specializes in them, and while he respects that, he seeks out more diverse roles. His favorite film is actually *Dil Se*, where he took on a more complex character, and ironically, he sported a bandage on his head throughout.
**Interviewer:** That’s fascinating! Can you share an anecdote that highlights his unconventional perspective on romance?
**Nikhil Advani:** Sure! During the production of *Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham*, there was a scene where Shah Rukh was supposed to make a grand entrance via helicopter. He envisioned a dramatic leap out of it, but when it turned out to be much tamer, he was visibly disappointed. It seemed like he craved something beyond the traditional romantic tropes.
**Interviewer:** It appears that despite his success in romantic roles, Shah Rukh has a desire for something more. What do you think this says about the pressure on actors to fit into certain molds?
**Nikhil Advani:** I believe it highlights the tension between an actor’s personal preferences and their public persona. Shah Rukh has mastered the art of romance on screen, but as an artist, he yearns for varied narratives. This raises an interesting discussion about whether we pigeonhole actors based on their most successful roles.
**Interviewer:** Definitely thought-provoking! How do you think this duality affects audience perceptions of romance in cinema?
**Nikhil Advani:** That’s a complex issue. On one hand, Shah Rukh’s charm in romantic roles appeals to fans, but it also sets expectations. If we don’t evolve the narrative of romance in films, we risk becoming stagnant. It’s a delicate balance between fulfilling audience desires and challenging the norms.
**Interviewer:** As we explore Shah Rukh’s views, how do you think fans would react to learning that their favorite romantic hero doesn’t favor love stories? Would this spark a debate on authenticity in entertainment?
**Nikhil Advani:** I think it certainly would! Some fans might feel a sense of betrayal, while others could appreciate the honesty. It could ignite a broader conversation about the essence of romance in films and whether it truly reflects the lives and experiences of the actors we admire.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Nikhil, for your insights! It seems there’s much more to Shah Rukh Khan than his on-screen persona, and the dialogue around this could certainly engage fans in a meaningful debate.
