Artem distinguished himself with his first productive action as part of the Roman club.
“Genoa” Ruslan Malinovskyi and “Roma” Artem Dovbyk played a draw in matches of the 4th round of the Italian Serie A of the 2024/25 season. The match in the city of Genoa ended with a score of 1:1.
In the 37th minute, Dovbyk opened the scoring in the game – the Ukrainian forward played successfully on the finish after Niccolò Pizilli’s shot.
At first, the referee did not count the goal due to the alleged offside of teammate Artem, but after a long review of the video replay (VAR), he pointed to the center of the field.
This is Dovbyk’s debut goal and the first effective action in 4 matches for the Roman club.
However, the Romans could not win the first victory of this season. In the time compensated for the second half, at the 90th + 6th minute, the “griffins” were saved from defeat by a goal by Kony De Winter.
It should be noted that Dovbyk was in the starting line-up of the “Wolves” and was replaced in the 81st minute. In turn, Malinovsky started the game on the bench and entered the field immediately after the break.

“Roma” has not yet won a single match this season and with three points after four rounds is in 15th place in Serie A. “Genoa” (5 points) is in ninth position.
In the next round of Serie A, Daniele De Rossi’s team will host “Udinese” on September 22, and the Genoese team will compete with “Venice” on the road a day earlier.
