Rolls-Royce sold a record number of cars in 2022

In 2022, British car manufacturer Rolls-Royce Motor Cars sold a total of 6,021 vehicles. This is 8% more than a year earlier, and an absolute record for the entire almost 120-year history of the company: so far it has not been able to go beyond the mark of 6 thousand cars in one year.

AT Rolls-Royce also emphasized that demand for their products remains high, customers are “willing to pay about half a million euros for their unique Rolls-Royce cars”, and pre-orders for new cars have been made for almost all of 2023.

The United States remains the largest market for Rolls-Royce vehicles, accounting for 35% of sales. China remains the second largest market, although sales there have fallen slightly due to the situation with COVID-19. Given the high number of pre-orders, including for the new, first all-electric Specter model, which will go on sale towards the end of 2023, the company expects sales growth this year. This will not prevent, according to the head of Rolls-Royce Thorsten Müller-Otvos, the cessation of car sales in Russia.

The Russian market, on average, took 200-300 Rolls-Royce cars per year. Record sales last year were also in the UK and German markets. Overall, the most sought after model in 2022 was the Rolls-Royce Cullinan globally and the Ghost in Asia.
