Roller Champions should be discontinued soon, a few months after its release | XboxOne

We might almost have predicted the fate of Roller Champions since the launch of its beta. The game has never really interested players and we learn today that Ubisoft should put an end to the support of the title just a few months following its release.

Roller Champions may have only had a few months of life

Roller Champions was announced in 2019 and following some delays, it was finally on May 25, 2022 that the game was released in a free version with micro-transactions. But free-to-play never seems to have found its audience and still seems quite deserted today. According to Jeff Grubb, the game should be discontinued by Ubisoft soon.

It’s in the recent podcast XboxEra that the journalist spoke. According to him, Ubisoft’s roller derby game should end following season 3.

Ubisoft recently indicated that the game performed better than Hyper Scape, another free game from the publisher. stoppedtoo, for lack of having found success.

If Roller Champions does indeed stop following season 3, there are only a few months left to play the title before it is no longer supported by Ubisoft.

This week, Ubisoft announced the cancellation of Ghost Recon: Frontline, Splinter Cell VR and two other games and the Postponement of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora to 2023. The company still hasn’t finished with free-to-play games, however, since The Division : Heartland et XDefiant are still on the agenda.
