After numerous postponements, the very last of which was at an indefinite date, the Roller Champions game remained rather discreet even though we learned that its development had been completed a few weeks ago. Ubisoft puts an end to this silence by confirming that the title will launch its very first season on May 25 on PC, Xbox Series X / S, PS5, but also on older generation consoles. A Nintendo Switch, Stadia and Amazon Luna version will also be available at a later date.
Roller Champions is a sports game that will be available for free from launch and that you have probably already seen in the last few years. The initial announcement of this new Ubisoft franchise was made in 2019 during the E3 of the same year. This time around, the wait is almost over and players will be able to put on their skates to compete once morest players from around the world. As a reminder, they must compete in teams of three, with the goal of being the first team to score five points by throwing a ball through a hoop. The special thing is that the more laps you complete before scoring, the more points you get, as long as your team keeps the ball.
Being available for free, Roller Champions will offer several game modes including the possibility of climbing the rankings, accessing additional stadiums and increasingly famous leagues, up to the Elite Champions league. Ubisoft has also confirmed that a seasonal pass system (Roller Pass) will be integrated in order to unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards. Note that the title is entirely cross-platform and that you progress with you regardless of your platform(s) used. You can find more information on the official site of the game.
