CSK reached the final for the first time in 2008 in the first season of IPL. On that day, they lost to Rajasthan and became the runner up. Then they reached another final one season later in 2010. It was their opponents’ first final match entry that day.
In that day’s final, Chennai beat Chennai by 22 runs and won the cup for the first time. Two seasons following that loss, they came back. Even then their opponent was Chennai, and since then no one but Chennai has been able to stop them. I don’t know if it was because they were beaten in their first finals, but they beat Chennai only three times, not two and then two different teams (Pune & Delhi) in the preliminary round.
Since 2013, they have started their winning journey and nobody has been able to stop them in the finals since then. They avenged their first and last defeat by beating them by 23 runs following they were beaten by 22 runs.
Mumbai Indians is the name of that team which is loved and hated by most people in India today.. That team has a captain sir.. After he came in 2013 this victory journey started. Beating him and his team in other matches is not an easy task to go to the finals and make a circle. No one has been able to do that yet.
So the name of that hero who made these histories that anyone else might envy, Sharma.. Rohit Sharma! And there is a nickname called Hitman by those who love him..
