A wave of reactions generated the message that Roger Waters sent to the Jewish Community in Chile, for his failed attempt to censor his two concerts in Chile, as a result of his statements regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The organization had filed a protection appeal to prohibit the former member of Pink Floyd use “elements or make comments” related to the conflict in Gaza during their presentations at the Monumental Stadium, ensuring that they sought to prevent them from “inciting hatred and anti-Semitism.”
However, the Court of Appeals of Santiago declared the appeal inadmissible and the Briton’s shows, this Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26, will remain intact.
Roger Waters’ message in the face of controversy with the Jewish community
Aware of the ruling, Roger Waters came out to demonstrate through your account in X (ex Twitter), with a brief but provocative comment.
“Hey! I’m not a you know what! Get over it,” wrote the legendary musician, accompanying the phrase with a laughing emoji and a dove of peace.
In the post he also added a link to the IQ Magazine news regarding the failure of the judicial action.
His words drew hundreds of comments of love and hate. “You are a disappointment”; “You are a damn legend”; “That laughing face says it all”; “Yes you are, an anti-Semite”; “You are an inspiration for all activists,” were some of the reactions.
