During the morning of this Saturday, the journalist Rodrigo Sepúlveda wanted to pay tribute to the national artist Zalo Reyes, who is hospitalized due to a decompensation due to his diabetes, which keeps him in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Clinical Hospital from the University of Chile.
The host of Meganoticias Alerta shared his opinion regarding the artist. “This is a tribute to Zalo Reyes, a tremendous national singer, he marked an era and to this day his songs are still heard,” he began by recounting.
“He had a diabetic decompensation, unfortunately he entered the ICU and then the ICU, and yesterday his son, Boris, whom I have the pleasure of meeting, said that he was in better condition, that he was evolving,” he added.
The journalist also added that “there is a curiosity in this program, because almost every day that we do Meganoticias Alerta, I sing this song somewhere on this channel,” referring to Prisionera.
Later, Rodrigo Sepúlveda recalled a report he made to the artist indicating that “it was a spectacular day. My hair stands on end because it was a super exciting day. He already had diabetes and he takes me out to drive in his car to visit different places in Independencia and Conchalí, just the two of us”.
“We hit a pencazo, we both collided. Imagine that when we get off the person sees that it is Zalo Reyes and hugs him. That report was a moment where he was able to meet a great brother,” he added.
At the end, the host of Meganoticias Alerta detailed the occasion in which the artist invited him to the local “La Tuna”, where several recitals are held. “I might see that just by standing on stage, he provoked a standing ovation from all the people who were there. There was so much affection and love for Zalo Reyes that he moved me, “he concluded.
