“Rodina” from Agrarny (Simferopol) won the Football Simf 5×5 Night League Cup for the 2023/24 season. On Tuesday, March 26, in the final match of the tournament, Sergei Makarovich’s team prevailed over the capital’s Vivat (2:0).
This is Rodina’s most significant achievement so far in the three years of the team’s existence. Before that, there were two bronze medals in the Night League championship.
Let us remind you that the Cup was held in Simferopol at the indoor arena with artificial grass Football Simf (2/7 Lavandovy Lane).
More information regarding the vicissitudes of the tournament can be found in a special section of the portal “Crimean sport“.
Football Simf 5×5 Night League Cup, season 2023/24. The final
March 26
“Vivat” – “Rodina” – 0:2
Goals: O. Melnik, 14, V. Smirnov, 25.
Super intense final game. Tournament debutant (Vivat) once morest the experienced Rodina. The “Pizzeria Makers” were almost in no way inferior to their opponents, but in this match they failed to break through Rodina’s goalkeeper Alexander Litvinov, who had caught the courage (for him, by the way, this turned out to be his seventh shutout in the Cup – an incredible achievement!).
The scales were tipped towards Rodina in the 14th minute by the legendary Oleg Melnik, who was on time for the finishing touch.
Well, (as it turned out a little later) young Vladislav Smirnov put an end to this game in the second half.
Watch the video of both goals below.
“Rodina” deservedly takes the trophy, for which we congratulate the team of Dmitry Ena (club president) and Sergei Makarovich (head coach).
Oleg Melnik (Rodina) is the best player in the final.
