Rockstar Responds To GTA 6 Leak And Stays The Course

The news that made a big splash this weekend was undoubtedly the leaked video footage of Rockstar’s project, Grand Theft Auto 6, whose images have taken over the internet.

Given the magnitude of this affront, the developer had no choice but to make a public outing to react to the situation.

And rather than denying the authenticity of the images revealed, Rockstar took the bull by the horns and confirmed the intrusion into its servers.

We recently experienced a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto. At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption to our live game services, nor any long-term effect on the development of our ongoing projects.

We are extremely disappointed that details regarding our upcoming game are being shared with you in this way. Our work on the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned, and we remain as committed to providing you, our players, with an experience that truly exceeds your expectations. We’ll let you know soon and, of course, we’ll properly introduce you to this next game when it’s ready. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support in this situation.

It’s a good thing that despite this history, Rockstar is staying the course with its plans. At the time, we do not see how the leak might have compromised the development of GTA 6, but we must be delighted with the essence of the message.

It’s a shame that the developer has to take the brunt of all this, but in the end, two details in particular are confirmed, namely the arrival of a female character in a main role, all in a location reminiscent of the southern United States.

It only remains to know when we will have something new to eat and above all, when we will be able to enjoy this new chapter of GTA!
