Two rockets fell on the territory of a children’s recreation center in the Genichesk district near Kherson. One shell was shot down with the help of air defense, writes RIA Novosti on Friday, June 9th.
“There was a missile attack, presumably by Storm Shadow, on a children’s recreation center,” a spokesman for emergency services said.
This was confirmed by the acting governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo, adding that the data on the victims are being specified. The authorities promised to strengthen the air defense system.
“Local boarding houses temporarily house both residents evacuated from Kherson and those who were recently rescued from the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station,” the regional administration said.
