But it was not always so. On Monday morning, when the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall and the organizer, the EVA Cultural Development Fund, announced that the performance would still take place, six tickets were available. Over the course of these two days, the situation changed: some spectators handed over their tickets, while others, on the contrary, were faced with their absence.
The decision on whether to go or not had to be made before 7 p.m. on March 26. “Friends, we receive a large number of requests regarding the opportunity to buy a ticket and support the event, so if you have decided to return a ticket, we kindly ask you to do so as soon as possible so that everyone can buy it,” says the concert hall’s website.
Together with Picnic, the Tavrichesky Symphony Orchestra will appear on the St. Petersburg stage. The event is dedicated to the victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. According to the organizers, all funds raised will be sent to the victims and families of those killed in the terrorist attack.
The musicians were supposed to perform at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow on March 22, but before the concert, four armed men broke into the building and opened fire on visitors, and then set the concert hall on fire. The EVA Cultural Development Foundation was also involved in organizing the concert in the Moscow region.
As a result of the events of March 22, 139 people were killed and 182 injured. A criminal case of terrorism is being investigated.
