Rock en Seine 2022: Unforgettable Performances and Must-See Concerts at Domaine National de Saint-Cloud

After a 2022 edition ignited by Nick Cave, Tame Impala and Arctic Monkeys, the Rock en Seine festival returns from August 23 to 27 at the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud.
For this twentieth anniversary, we have selected fifteen concerts not to be missed, one week before the opening of the festivities.

Lucie Antunes, Wednesday August 23

She unveiled her second album Carnavalreleased on the Crybaby and InFiné labels, last spring with the heady and captivating single It’s Amazing, and embarked on a concert tour and festivals to celebrate it. The French musician will perform on the first evening of Rock en Seine, at 5.35 p.m. on the main stage.

Girl in Red, Wednesday August 23

We have already been able to see her at Rock en Seine in 2019 or in the first part of the headliner Billie Eilish and even Taylor Swift, the talented Norwegian artist Girl in Red will once again charm the lands of the Parisian festival with her bewitching indie pop. Meet at 8:10 p.m. on the main stage.

Billie Eilish, Wednesday August 23

On Wednesday August 23 at 10 p.m., on the main stage of Rock en Seine, American star Billie Eilish will perform for her second French date of the summer. Indeed, we were already able to applaud him on June 22 with Lenny Kravitz and Jon Batiste during a concert for the planet at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The author of the hits Bad Guy, Lovely or Happier Than Ever will perfectly conclude this opening night, whose performance already promises to be memorable.

Turnstile, Friday, August 25

They are from Baltimore, they are demented and form the punk band Turnstile. After producing three albums, the last of which Glow On was released in 2021, the five friends continue to shake up the punk and hardcore scene by getting very close to the world of pop. They will return to the stunt stage on Friday, August 25 at 4:15 p.m.

Boygenius, Friday August 25

The super-group made up of three renowned American musicians Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus is undoubtedly one of the most irresistible talents on the current rock scene. With their EP Boygenius in 2018 and their album The Record (2023), the trio will take to the main stage on Friday at 6:40 p.m. for a particularly anticipated show.

Flavien Berger, Friday August 25

As inventive as it is dreamlike, Flavien Berger delivered one of the most brilliant French albums of the year with In a hundred years. The unclassifiable mustachioed electronics engineer combines French chanson, pop, electro, psychedelia and film music in a pure burst of hybridization. He will rock the audience on the waterfall stage on August 25 at 7:40 p.m.

Christine and the Queens, Friday August 25

On June 9, the splendid Paranoïa, Angels, True Love by Christine and the Queens, in which we find her collaborations with Madonna and 070 Shake. After performing on the stages of Coachella, Art Rock and Glastonbury, the artist will stop on the main stage of Rock en Seine at 8:40 p.m.

Romy, Friday August 25

The Englishwoman Romy took off on her own in 2020 with Lifetime, his first solo single. Known for being one of the three members of The XX, the singer, DJ and musician has since released several ultra danceable tracks such as Enjoy Your Life et Loveher. One thing is certain: Romy shines in her solo project and she is ready to prove it on the grove stage on Friday August 25 at 11:30 p.m., two weeks before the release of her first album, Mid Air.

Julian Casablanca’s band, The Strokes, arrives in France for an already unforgettable show. Three years after his last stint at the Olympia, preceding the release of the immense The New Abnormal (2020), the New York group will shower us with their greatest hits. So meet at 10 p.m. on Sunday August 27 on the main stage for the ideal closing of the 20th anniversary of Rock en Seine.
