Maurice Savary, president of the Rochefort Cancer Relay, did not hide his satisfaction on December 11 when he brought together his team of volunteers, who came in large numbers, to take stock of the actions carried out for Pink October.
New this year with a first solidarity walk organized by three volunteers in Roquemaure. A complete success which brought together the municipality of Roquemaure, its services and traders around the cause of cancer. They brought the nice sum of €4,040 to the Relais de Lutte and wish to repeat the experience on October 24, 2024.
In Rochefort, the sale of meringues, the participation of the ready-to-wear store Dalia in Les Angles, the solidarity march, the participation of the Team roch tuning car association, the sale of Christmas wheat…, so many various actions and varied which brought in the tidy sum of €6,077. More than €10,000 will therefore be donated to the Sainte-Catherine Institute in Avignon and will be shared between the research and well-being of people affected by the disease.
Véronique Boissy, vice-president and responsible for the long-awaited annual lottery, recalled the date of the latter which will be held at the Jean-Galia room on Sunday January 28.
Another major gathering which attracts hundreds of players from the region each year.
