Robots now in animal form, South Korean experts have created a chameleon-like robot

Frogs and chameleons stick out their tongues at lightning speed and stick them to eat flying insects, but now a robot called Snitcher is even faster, sticking out its artificial tongue and bringing it to itself by sticking it.

Experts from South Korea’s National University of Science and Technology have created a chameleon-like robot that can extend its artificial tongue 30 inches in just 600 milliseconds.

This robot has been named Snatcher. It quickly grabs small objects placed in front of it by sticking them on its tongue.

The robot weighs only 120 grams and is powered by a spring coiled in the bracelet. Thus the tongue moves forward and then returns. But it should be noted that this robot has been developed by looking at the chameleon’s tongue, but a hook has been installed at its end, which grabs the object placed in front of it and pulls it with lightning speed.

Although this is an early prototype, the robotic tongue can still pull 30 grams of weight, but its speed is much higher. It currently has a metal tape attached to what you might call a tongue, but could be made of other materials in the future.

But the question is, what is the benefit of all this hard work? Experts believe that a fast-moving robotic tongue can be used to quickly pick up items that have fallen on the ground, or even by drones. In addition, the robot will also be able to help some patients to fold or lift things.
