Robin Hack Injury Update: Gladbach’s Season Finale in Jeopardy

2024-05-13 04:20:56

Patrick Herrmann (2nd from left) came on as a replacement for Robin Hack in the final phase on 11 May 2024.

In a negative sense, it would have been a fitting end to a messy Borussia season!

It is done! By hanging and suffocating, Borussia Mönchengladbach managed to stay in the league on the 33rd Bundesliga matchday. A 1-1 draw once morest Eintracht Frankfurt wasn’t enough to dispel any final concerns on its own – 1. FC Köln then took over with the help of a 3-2 win once morest Union Berlin.

Gladbach worried regarding hack! Season finale in jeopardy?

Bitter from Borussia’s point of view: Frankfurt, who would actually be beaten if Borussia Dortmund were to win the Champions League next season, would even play in the first division.

The colts got off to a better start in the sold-out Borussia Park. As with 2-2 in Bremen, it was Robin Hack (25) who led Gladbach into the lead with his first shot of the match.

Hack is undoubtedly Borussia’s life insurance in the final phase of the season! In the last four games, Hack has scored five goals – all Borussia goals apart from the equalizer from Flo Neuhaus (27) at the Weserstadion.

The entire offensive game and basically Borussia’s successful save was ultimately completely dependent on Hack’s efficiency and creative moments. Without him it would probably have looked much darker.

It was all the more bitter that Hack limped through the dressing room following the final whistle. The 25-year-old had to attend an interview and left the dressing room. When he returned, it was clear that the match once morest Eintracht had left its mark.

There is no doubt that no further flaw would be as difficult to compensate for as the lack of Hack in its current state. The sporting worst case scenario!

Given that the Foals no longer have to fight to stay in the league in the last match in Stuttgart (May 18, 2024, 3:30 p.m.), the lines of concern might be even greater.

The foals are hoping for clarity soon – and that Hack, who was replaced for Patrick Herrmann (33) shortly before the end, can be in the starting line-up for VfB.

If there is a candidate who seized the opportunity in the last Bundesliga matches to collect plus points for a possible sensation in a European Championship nomination, then it was undoubtedly Hack.

With this in mind, the Pforzheim native will hope that at least his mini-hope is not lost due to injury. It is clear for now: Hack in this form can only be stopped by an injury.
